XC60 2019 fuel gauge

Fuel gauge incorrect and showing gas when it is empty. First time at 60km showing... 2nd at 80km. Have been advised that new petrol tank needed $7K to replace. Dangerous to drive as will just stop, show the turtle, no power steering and happens in the middle of the road/highway. Is this happening to anyone else please?

i have the same issue with my Volvo. The gage shows a quarter tank left and the car loses power, the turtle comes on and the car dramatically slows down and then stops. on my petrol meter, it shows I have 90km left of petrol. Very dangerous indeed on the road. Had the issue apparently fixed by the dealer that i bought the car from, and 6 months later, the same issue occurs. Someone told me that this is a known issue to Volvos. And to take it to a Volvo dealer and they are required to fix it as its a known issue.
